Since my last vist to Meadow Lane GP (part of the Willington GP complex) a few weeks ago we've had a lot of rain. Below are a couple of shots - one taken on 21st July, the other taken on 29th July.
21st July
29th July - note lots of water!On my last visit I had four Blackwits and a few other waders, with things looking good with four pumps in place pushing water back out. Unfortuantely today it was rubbish. A few Common Sands, a Cuckoo and a Turtle Dove were the highlights. I didn't even get a picture! And it was too hot. At least the pumps are still there.
I went home to have a bacon sarnie and make an Ikea futon.
